Updated: Apr 19, 2023

March 3, 2023

New officers for the Chicago Harbor Safety Committee were elected by the Committee to serve two-year terms. President Mike McElroy, Vice President Don Campbell, and Secretary/Treasurer Tom Blakely bring experienced leadership to the nationally recognized Chicago Harbor Safety Committee.

Established in 2013 at the request of the US Coast Guard, the Chicago Harbor Safety Committee (CHSC) promotes safety, security, and operational efficiency on the waters of the Chicago River and Lake Michigan. CHSC is a partnership between the private sector and government agencies and plays a pivotal role in representing the diverse users of the increasingly activated Chicago Area Waterways.
